Calendrier du MOI/The Moods Calendar

HUILES SUR TOILE . Tableaux conçus et réalisés entre 1987 et 1998 .
Loin d'être un calendrier , cette série présente un éventail d'états d'âme que traverse l'individu
de saison en saison . La relation avec le Mois de l'année est cependant figurée dans le décors
et par l'ambiance générale , indiquée dans chaque toile par une pendule dont l'unique aiguille
indique le numéro du mois . Chacun des tableaux présente un couple et un carrelage à deux
couleurs ou valeurs pour symboliser les oppositions et conjonctions dualistes . Chaque image
fait également l'objet d'une expérience perspective ou architecturale , où intérieur et extérieur
se confondent . Le mois d'Octobre n'étant pas encore réalisé à ce jour , un autre tableau y est
provisoirement substitué : "Nuit Blanche" conçu et réalisé entre 1993 et 1994 .

Far from being a calendar, this series presents a range of states of mind which the individual
crosses from season to season . The relationship to the Months of the year is however
illustrated in the backgrounds and by the general environment, indicated in each picture by a clock of which the single hand indicates the number of the month. Each one of the paintings
presents a couple and a tiling to two colors or values to symbolize the dualistic oppositions and
conjunctions. Each image is also the object of a perspective or architectural experiment, where
interior and external merge. October not being yet carried out to date, another table is there
temporarily substituted: " Sleepless night " conceived and realized between 1993 and 1994.
