Réalisé dans un grotte des Canaries, au cours
d'une période fièvreuse de dessins dont la plupart
ont été offerts à des amis de passage, et donc
peut- être disparus à jamais, ce dessin a marqué
le début d'un intérêt pour les théories d'Einstein
ainsi que pour le personnage. Le fait que mon tout
premier exercice ait été de copier un portrait
du Génie, sous l'égide de JM.Paramon, grand
professeur de dessin universel, a sans doutes
déclenché cet intérêt précoce. Ce dessin, comme
tous ceux réalisés à cette époque, à souffert de
voyages prolongés, roulé au fond d'un sac à dos!

Realised in a cave of the Canary Islands, within
the course of a feverish period of drawings of
which most were offered to friends, and thus can
be disappeared forever, this drawing marked the
beginning of an interest for the theories of Einstein
as well for his character. The fact that my very first
exercise was to copy a portrait of the genius,
under the aegis of JM.Paramon, great professor
of universal drawing, has without doubts started
this early interest. This drawing, like all those
carried out at that time, had suffered from long
